Behind Enemy Lines:
CHANGE THE SCORE!
Genesis 22:17 (KJV)
“That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the
heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of
his enemies;”
The devil knows that the Word says that his time is short, so he is on the defense. But
for every seed that you plant in someone’s life, the angels rejoice, but the devil hates it and will
try to come against you. Are you still willing to live behind enemy lines?
Revelation 1:18
“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and
have the keys of hell and of death.”
What did Jesus do after He rose again?
He went down to Hell!
“You really think that nails were going to hold back the King of the universe?”
After Jesus storms into hell, He grabbed the keys from the devil. If your biggest enemy
came in to your house, after they died, grabbed the one thing that you thought you owned, and
then walked out. Tell me you would be able to sleep that night. Satan was scared out of his
mind, he thought he won. And he thought wrong!
He took the keys that bound you. Anger. Lust. Alcohol. Drugs. Shame. He took
those keys and gave them to you so that you could walk out of the chains that held you
back from having freedom.
Matthew 16:18(MSG)
“You didn't get that answer out of books or from teachers. My Father in heaven, God
himself, let you in on this secret of who I really am. And now I'm going to tell you who you are,
really are. You are Peter, a rock. This is the rock on which I will put together my church, a
church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out.
The church was made to live behind enemy lines, not just in the four walls of a building,
but in the line of duty, living and being a soldier, going to battle for your city.
Matthew 16:19(NIV)(MSG)
"And that's not all. You will have complete and free access to God's kingdom, keys to
open any and every door: no more barriers between heaven and earth, earth and heaven. A
yes on earth is yes in heaven. A no on earth is no in heaven."
“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be
bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Once you know who God is in your life you then start to understand who you are
through Him.
He doesn’t unlock the doors to what holds you back, He gives you the keys to unlock it yourself.
Then you have the power to hand over the keys to someone else.
The devil, who once held the ball (keys), lost it when Jesus came and took the ball away.
Now that it’s in our possession we have to reach the end-zone. Jesus could have taken
the ball and ran it Himself but He didn’t. He guarded it,
waiting for you to come pick it up and run, and He’ll guard you the whole way to the
end. If you don’t pick up the ball, then someone else will.
These keys are either what lock up or unlock the areas in our life that we struggle with,
the hard trials, or even the greatest victories. It unveils the opportunity to either choose life or
death. It defines your character and portrays the way you live your life. These keys are so important
because they hold door open or closed for your family, friends, and loved ones salvation
in to the Kingdom.
John 15:16(NIV)
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit
that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.”
Pick up the ball! Even though it’s going to be rough, hard, and troublesome. If you’re
going through trials, then you’re near the end-zone. It’s always harder when you’re closer to
what God has in store for you. When you’re farther away from the end-zone the enemy isn’t as
worried about you, once you get close, it becomes harder to change the score.
Pray for your schools, but most importantly, pray for people, by name, and believe that Jesus
will intervene.
